A manufacturing plant floor with ruggedized industrial computers and networking equipment beside automation machinery.
INDUSTRY

Manufacturing & distribution.

Plant-floor and office refresh. Line-equipment retirement. Serialized chain of custody across every site.

An IT deployment staging bench with new laptops in protective foam, padded shipping boxes, peripherals and printed asset-tag labels.
THE MANUFACTURING PROBLEM

Plants, warehouses, and offices, all on their own clock.

Manufacturing IT runs across plants and distribution centers that all refresh, relocate, and consolidate on their own schedule. CTS handles the deploy-to-dispose lifecycle for every one of them under a single contract and a single chain of custody, so spinning up a new line in one region and retiring equipment in another are the same documented process.

WHAT WE HANDLE

Built for multi-site operations.

Plant-floor and office refresh

Ruggedized terminals, scanners, label printers, and back-office PCs cycle on different clocks across plants and warehouses. We image, kit, and ship to each site, then retrieve the old gear on the same visit.

Line-equipment and OT retirement

When a line is reconfigured or a facility consolidates, we pull the attached IT and OT hardware, wipe or shred the data, and recover residual value, with a serial-level chain of custody for everything that leaves the floor.

Data sanitization to standard

Drives and controllers that held production, design, or supplier data are sanitized to NIST 800-88 with a certificate of destruction per serial number, the evidence your auditors and customers expect.

One report across every site

Inventory, disposition, and ESG metrics for all plants and distribution centers roll up into your client portal, so the chain of custody is one report, not a binder per facility.

FAQ

Manufacturing ITAD questions we get a lot.

01

How do you retire OT and embedded plant-floor devices?

When a line is reconfigured or a facility consolidates, we pull the attached IT and OT hardware, ruggedized terminals, scanners, label printers, and embedded controllers, then wipe or shred the storage they hold and document each one by serial number.
02

How do you destroy data on drives that held production or design data?

Drives and controllers that held production, design, or supplier data are sanitized to NIST 800-88, or physically shredded to under 2mm when destruction is required, with a certificate of destruction per serial number for your auditors and customers.
03

Can you coordinate across multiple plants and distribution centers?

Yes. We offer national coverage and multi-site pickups, so plant-floor and office refreshes across every facility run under a single contract and a single chain of custody rather than a binder per site.
04

Do you provide a certificate of destruction per serial number?

Yes. Each drive or controller we wipe or shred gets its own certificate tied to the serial number, so your audit trail maps to individual assets instead of a single bulk statement.
05

Is CTS R2v3 certified?

Yes. CTS is an R2v3-certified IT asset disposition operator and also holds ISO 14001, 9001, and 45001, with data destroyed to NIST 800-88.
06

Can we recover value from retired equipment?

Yes. Healthy gear is wiped to NIST 800-88 and resold or redeployed, with any residual value returned to you, and CarbonChamp ESG reporting captures the environmental impact of each disposition.
